Do you love your work? Do you start to think about the next step in career? Do you feel good about helping others to explore new possibilities in career? If so, do you want to become a Career Coach?
We are pleased to have Cecilia Kwok, a qualified Career Coach and trainer, who has supported numerous executives and students for their career management and job search, to conduct an in-house Staff Development Programme: Career Coaching for Post-secondary Students. There were altogether 17 staff who participated in the Programme, nine from academic while eight from administration. They found the Programme both informative and inspiring, and provided the most up-to-date information and trend of the job market. They are now taking up career coaching sessions for our top-up degree students. They indicated that it was meaningful that they could contribute to student career development and career preparation.
The Programme was well received with positive feedback. Nonetheless, some colleagues expressed that they missed it last time due to time clash. It was therefore decided to re-run the programme, to enable them to attend.
