Admission Requirements

Holders of Higher Diploma (HD) / Associate Degree (AD) in Building or Building Construction or those with equivalent qualifications may apply. Applicants also need to provide evidence of adequate proficiency in English, e.g. IELTS 6.0, E grade or above in English (Syllabus B) in HKCEE or equivalent.

Holders of Higher Diploma (HD) / Associate Degree (AD) in Surveying may also apply for this programme. Subject to the decision of University of Wolverhampton, some participants will be required to take an additional module, Law for Construction, Engineering and Management Students II, if they have not taken any similar module in previous studies. Tuition fee of this additional module is about HK$5,000.

 
Fees
Application Fee   HK$140, non-refundable
(to be paid at the time of application)
Programme Fee   HK$99,500 for the full programme, to be paid in four equal instalments.
First instalment due upon enrolment;
Second instalment due in December 2008;
Third instalment due in August 2009;
Fourth instalment due in December 2009
Graduation Fee   HK$400
(to be paid with the first instalment of programme fee for the first year)
 
In the case of re-assessment, additional fees will be charged. All fees paid are non-refundable.
 
Application

A completed application form and copies of academic certificates, together with the application fee of HK$140, should be sent to SCOPE at LG/F, Academic Exchange Building, City University of Hong Kong, Tat Chee Avenue, Kowloon before the application deadline.

Applications for this programme are processed on a rolling basis and review of applications will start immediately until all places are filled. Therefore, early applications are strongly encouraged. Applicants will be selected based on academic merits and relevant work experience. All application received are approved and rejected by University of Wolverhampton in consultation with SCOPE. All applicants will receive notification of application results from SCOPE by mail within one month after submission of application.

NO separate acknowledgment of receipt of application will be sent to applicants.

 
Education Loan

Successful applicants are eligible to apply for the Government's Non-means Tested Loan Scheme. Application forms are obtainable from District Offices and the Student Financial Assistance Agency.

The BSc (Hons) Construction Management is an exempted course under the Non-local Higher and Professional Education (Regulation) Ordinance (reference number 450700). It is a matter of discretion for individual employers to recognise any qualification to which this programme may lead.
