Programme Aim
The aim of BA (Hons) Business
Management is to provide an educational foundation for
a wide range of management and administrative careers.
It also provides a solid foundation for further
study, both academic and professional. The programme
will prepare students for a range of career opportunities
by developing teamwork skills, goal setting, time and
project management strategies, problem identification
and resolution initiatives, decision-making and business
planning.
This programme has been designed to
equip students with an international insight into contemporary
business practice and prepare them to cope with future
management challenges. The programme focuses extensively
on current issues faced by business executives and professionals
around the world and in Hong Kong, and uses student-centred
learning with a focus on real world business situations
to prepare students for the demands of the workplace.
Through working on an individual dissertation, students
have the opportunity to study in depth a selected business
sector.

Teaching and Learning Support
This programme offers a variety
of teaching and assessment methods, including interactive
lectures, workshops, small group tutorials and the use
of case studies / work based experience.
In addition to the enormous electronic resources at the University website, the UK teaching staff are dedicated to keeping track of students' progress through regular email correspondences. Students are entitled to use CityU facilities such as the library with remote access, computing services and e-learning platform, Blackboard.
Students will also be provided access to the Wolverhampton On-line Learning Framework (WOLF) system, a purpose built computer-based learning environment developed by UoW to enable students to access course notes, related resources and support materials, and to communicate with tutors and other students online.
Assessment and
Final Award
The assessment methods include presentations, reports,
essays, in-class tests and examinations. The assessment
will be based on individual and group-based activities.
A student will be recommended for the
award of BA (Hons) Business Management conferred by
UoW if he/she has successfully completed the programme.
Class Venues
Classes will be held in CityU(Kowloon Tong) and / or
other designated SCOPE
Learning Centres.
