Part 1 is designed to prepare school leavers with work experience to undertake study again after being away from formal education for years. It will enrich students' basic business concepts and academic writing skills, thus enabling them to pursue study at a higher level.

Entrance Requirements
1.
Hold HKCEE with grade E or above in five subjects including Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) / Yi Jin graduates with at least 3 years of full-time work experience; or
2.
Hold HKCEE with grade E or above in three subjects, and attain Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language (applicable to 2007 HKCEE or beyond) with at least 3 years of full-time work experience; or
3.
Mature applicants of at least 23 years of age by the start date of the programme, and have at least 5 years of full-time work experience.
Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview.
Assessment and Award
Assessment consists of a combination of coursework and examination. If not proceeding to Part 2, a student will be awarded a Continuing Education Certificate in Management Studies upon successful completion of Part 1.
Medium of Instruction
Cantonese and English, supplemented with English handouts.
Progression Opportunity
Students who successfully complete Part 1 will proceed to Part 2 of the programme.
Classes
There are approximately 9 hours of class per week(3 weekday evenings or 2 weekday evenings and 1 weekend afternoon). Classes will be held at the CityU campus in Kowloon Tong, SCOPE TST Learning Centre or other designated venues.
