Adverse Weather Arrangements
Arrangements on the Issuance of Typhoon Signals
When Typhoon Signal No.1 or No.3 is first issued, all classes and examinations will continue as normal. For cases when Typhoon Signal Pre-No.8 or above is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory or an “extreme condition”# announcement is issued by the Government after super typhoons, students should refer to the following table.

Examinations already in progress should continue unless the Chief Invigilators are otherwise advised by CityU SCOPE as appropriate.
Teaching and all other activities being held on campus should be terminated as soon as practicable. |
# Under certain “extreme conditions” caused by super typhoons, such as serious disruption of public transport services, extensive flooding, major landslides or large-scale power outage, the Government will review the situation (including public transportation and other aspects).
Arrangements on the Issuance of Rainstorm Warning Signals
When Amber Rainstorm or Red Rainstorm signal is first issued, all classes and examinations will continue as normal. For cases when the Black Rainstorm Signal is issued, students should refer to the following table.

Please note that announcements made by the Government’s Education Bureau relating to suspension of classes for schools and post-secondary colleges do not apply to the CityU SCOPE programmes. In case of other inclement weather which would affect normal class meetings, an announcement will be made via SMS by CityU SCOPE.
