Yes, shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview. Group interview will be arranged when applicants are to introduce himself/ herself, followed by a group discussion on current affairs. Both Cantonese and English will be used.
Yes, applicants with qualifications other than public administration and social sciences will also be considered. However, successful applicants may need to take bridging modules on fundamental in public administration and/or social research skills prior to Year 1, semester A.
No, the Housing Specialisation opens to students with sub-degree qualification in housing, property or facilities management. Other equivalent qualifications will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants whose sub-degree qualifications being taught and assessed in English will be exempted from the IELTS 6.5 requirement.
The programme is well established with more than 28 years of history producing many successful graduates. According to our record, many of our graduates continued study at local universities taking a wide range of Master's degrees, MA in Public Policy and Management offered by CityU is one of the examples.
The medium of instruction of the programme is English. The programme will be taught by local instructors who have long years of teaching and work experience in the Government and/or public sector. Academics from De Montfort University will also deliver guest lectures when they visit Hong Kong.

Practical Experience Requirement (PER) provides a structured framework to assist students to gain practical experiences and under supervision of a recognized supervisor of your workplace while completing their studies. All students taking Housing Specialisation must complete the PER which is compulsory for membership of the CIH.
