Fast Track to Pursue Professional Development in practice
The BScCM & BScQS programme are the two-year part-time degrees. Graduates who fulfil relevant admission and bridging requirements may apply for the membership of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM) and may be qualified for the professional interview with Quantity Surveyors International (QSI).
Quality Education
The programmes are accredited by HKCAAVQ under Hong Kong Qualifications Framework Level 5, same level as local bachelor’s degrees.

Teaching and Learning Supports

- Recognized under HKQF5: BScCM & BScQS are accredited by HKCAAVQ and recognised with HKQF Leve 5 respectively.
- Recognized by UoW and CityU SCOPE: The award is conferred by University of Wolverhampton and is the same as if you study in UK.
- Quantity Surveyors International (QSi) : Graduates from the programme can automatically qualify for their professional interview with QSi conducted at the City University SCOPE nearing the completion of their study.
- Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM) : Graduates who reached the age of 25 and have had 4 years of work experience in construction field, they would be eligible to become Member of HKICM (MHKICM).
- Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) : The programmes are fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and have satisfied all the academic requirements for Corporate Membership. Graduates with 3 years’ professional experiences and pass the Professional Review are eligible to become Member of CIOB (MCIOB).
- Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) : Graduates from the programmes may apply for Associate Membership (ASSoRICS) by fulfilling the RICS requirements on experiences, portfolios assessment and an ethic module. Graduates who attained the AssocRICS with five or above years’ of post-degree relevant experiences and pass the final assessment interview are eligible to become Members of RICS by the Professional Experience Route. Alternatively, graduates admit to local/non-local higher and professional programmes accredited by RICS together with one year’s structured training are also eligible to become Members of RICS.
Students are expected to meet the English language requirement as follow:
- IELTS 6.0; OR
- Grade C or above in HKCEE English Language (Syllabus B) before 2007; OR
- Level 3 or above in HKCEE English Language in the 2007 and henceforth; OR
- Level 3 or above in HKDSEE English Language; OR
- AD or HD with English Medium of instruction (e.g. IVE, CCCU);OR
- Other equivalent.
The programme is delivered in part-time for 5 semesters in 2 years. Normally, you are required to take 2 modules per semester. For the first two weeks of the semesters, you have to attend intensive lectures on Sat, Sun and 3 weekday evenings. Followed the intensive lectures, there will be 2 sessions of weekly tutorials for 8 weeks. After the tutorials, there normally will be 2 weeks of 3 intensive revision sessions before the assessment. - Modules are arranged on weekday evenings and/or daytimes of Saturdays and Sundays.
Classes will mainly take place in SCOPE Tsim Sha Tsui East Learning Centre and teaching venues at CityU main campus in Kowloon Tong.
Successful applicants are eligible to apply for the Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (ENLS) administered by the Student Finance Office (SFO) of the HKSAR Government. The maximum financial assistance under the ENLS is equivalent to the total tuition fees payable of the programme. For details or enquiries, please contact 2150 6223 or visit the Government website
