The School of Continuing and Professional Education, City University of Hong Kong (CityU SCOPE), aspires to be a leading school in professional and lifelong education. Applications are invited for the post of Part-time Instructor for the following course:
Courses
- Certificate in Understanding Data Analytics and Applications (Part-time)
Duties
- Design and deliver course content in a clear and concise manner, accommodating students from diverse backgrounds;
- Monitor and evaluate students’ progress and provide constructive feedback;
- Stay up-to-date with current industry practices and continuously improve course materials; and
- Participate in curriculum development and administrative duties as required.
General Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant discipline such as Information Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Information Engineering, Business Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Analytics; and
- At least 10 years of professional experience in data analytics and project management, with no less than 3 years in a supervisory or training capacity.
Specific Requirements
- Strong background in Data Visualization, Interpretation, and the Application of Data Analytics, encompassing Descriptive Statistics and Predictive Analytics; and
- Ability to provide practical examples and guide students through the application of Data Analytics.

Duties
- Design and deliver course content in a clear and concise manner, accommodating students from diverse backgrounds;

- Participate in curriculum development and administrative duties as required.
General Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant discipline such as Information Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Information Engineering, Business Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Networks, Electronic and Electrical Engineering; and
- At least 5 years of professional experience in web application engineering, with no less than 3 years in a supervisory or training capacity.
Specific Requirements
- Strong background in Python and experience with web frameworks such as Django or Flask; and
- Ability to provide practical examples and guide students through the development of web applications using Python.
